On November 3rd, Heather Arnet ran for Pennsylvania's 37th district state senate seat.

Heather Arnet, center, the democratic candidate for Pennsylvania’s 37th district state senate seat, meets with volunteers from Planned Parenthood at Panera Bread in Oakland on November 3rd, Election Day.
Arnet’s next stop was the Jefferson Hills Municipal Center polling station where Rich Johnston (left), an Arnet supporter, had been greeting voters since the polls opened. Pictured here he is directing Rhiannon Miller towards Arnet.
Arnet talks with West Jefferson Hills School Director candidate Jill Bertini. Bertini went on to win a spot on the board.
Outside the Municipal Center, Arnet talks to Nikki Lu, the Western PA political Director for SEIU 32BJ, as the sun sets. Nikki and the SEIU support Arnet's efforts to strengthen the middle class and increase education funding.
Arnet rides in Lu’s Prius to the next polling station on the day’s agenda, the Brighton Volunteer Fire Department.

Lu takes a Snapchat video of Arnet and Savikas.
With an hour before polls close, Lu reports voter turnout is almost double the projection. By the end of the night it would reach 215% of the projection.
The last stop for Arnet before the polls close is the first stop on her campaign. When she was nominated, Arnet spoke at the Community Room on Brownsville Rd. Pictured here Arnet with Don Mooney (left), a volunteer for Arnet’s Opponent, Guy Reschenthaler.
At the election party at Bado's in Mt. Lebanon, State Representative Dan Miller (right) and State Senator Jay Costa (center) discuss the numbers as districts begin to report totals. Arnet chose to wait at home while results came in.
By the time Arnet arrived at Bado's, she was down 5% with over 50% of the total votes accounted for.
As the remainder of the districts reported, the gap widened to 7%, and Reschenthaler secured the win. Arnet remained on the back porch of Bado's with her campaign staff.
